THE DIAMOND FAMILY ARCHIVE
The Diamond Family Archive are a unique English lo-fi, psych-folk, multi-instrumentalist roving ensemble led by the song writing of Laurence Collyer
Live, The Diamond Family Archive craft a mesmeric live-show from drums, acoustic guitars, lots of FX pedals, keyboards set to drone, tape delay, loops and bellows, bows, harmonicas, cosmic harps, toys and broken cymbals. All coming together to create music which holds echos of post-rock, traditional folk, spiritual soul music, psychedelic rock and lo-fi.
Front man of Snails, whose perfect pop symphonies have been championed by The Pastels, Jarvis Cocker, Gideon Coe and many others, turns his hand to the solo song, of which he is also a master, with a turn of phrase, musically and lyrically, that will have you humming and toe tapping long after last ale has been supped and the last order called.
Plus Great Pizza and Ales from downstairs and the night is Free!

Folk psychedelia, mixing great songwriting,

the deranged soul of the West Country.

Became Amazing", from the album of the same
name, which is launching tonight at The Greenbank
(and read the crazed story of the album's making):

U R S A
U R S A is the brand new solo project and alias of Bristol based singer songwriter Helen Stanley.
Beautifully fractured lullabies for those fallen from grace.
With the help of her musically talented kin Helen weaves emotive, ethereal, Jazz tinged, cinematic arrangements with her keys and voice at the helm.
Belfast-born Ryan McMurtry has crafted his own melancholic and bittersweet songwriting style through regular live performing.
Inhabiting the space somewhere between folk and blues, his influences include Roy Harper, John Martyn, The Incredible String Band and Donovan.
Ryan has performed regularly in the past year, with shows across the South West, Cardiff and London, as well as releasing his first ep, 'Forests'.

Stay in ? Nah.
Wave goodbye to January
and bring on the daffodils.
THE BIG HOWEVER
art folk garage indie collective
with cello mandolin bass drums clarinet accordion,
soaring harmonies and some mean guitar
as heard on BBC 6 Music Gideon Coe.
In fact Gideon gave the band and this gig a big up on the Radio
"femme fatale androgynous folk glam "
from a seriously talented showman

Top poster this month from woodcarver and graphic artist
Grey? No more chocolates in the advent calender? No more diamonds in the mine? Jogging sucks? Still have to put out the recycling in your slippers?

We are immensely pleased to have Brooke come play for us. With an unequalled control, poise and grace she sets out her songs of longing and fire.
"With a vocal style that switches effortlessly between lithely melodic and fiery, set against a deeply atmospheric musical backdrop, comparisons with the likes of Kate Bush, Ane Brun and Cat Power are inevitable"
"She’s sure to stop you in your tracks…Really is so beautiful…’

John Martyn and Nick Drake.
